Frequently asked questions
What size is an iPhone 16 Pro Max wallpaper?
iPhone 16 Pro Max wallpapers should be 1320x2868 pixels (1320 wide by 2868 tall). That is the native resolution of the screen, so the image is shown pixel for pixel with nothing scaled or cropped.
Can I use a different size on an iPhone 16 Pro Max?
Yes, but the system will scale or crop it to fit. An image with a different shape loses its edges when it is filled to the screen, and a smaller image is enlarged and looks softer. Generating at 1320x2868 avoids both.
How do I make a 1320x2868 wallpaper?
Open the PattrnLab generator at 1320x2868, pick a pattern and palette, and download the PNG. It is rendered in your browser at exactly that size, so there is nothing to resize afterwards.
