Frequently asked questions
What size is an iPhone 16 Pro wallpaper?
iPhone 16 Pro wallpapers should be 1206x2622 pixels (1206 wide by 2622 tall). That is the native resolution of the screen, so the image is shown pixel for pixel with nothing scaled or cropped.
Can I use a different size on an iPhone 16 Pro?
Yes, but the system will scale or crop it to fit. An image with a different shape loses its edges when it is filled to the screen, and a smaller image is enlarged and looks softer. Generating at 1206x2622 avoids both.
How do I make a 1206x2622 wallpaper?
Open the PattrnLab generator at 1206x2622, pick a pattern and palette, and download the PNG. It is rendered in your browser at exactly that size, so there is nothing to resize afterwards.
