Frequently asked questions
What size is an iPad Pro 11-inch (M4) wallpaper?
iPad Pro 11-inch (M4) wallpapers should be 1668x2420 pixels (1668 wide by 2420 tall). That is the native resolution of the screen, so the image is shown pixel for pixel with nothing scaled or cropped.
Can I use a different size on an iPad Pro 11-inch (M4)?
Yes, but the system will scale or crop it to fit. An image with a different shape loses its edges when it is filled to the screen, and a smaller image is enlarged and looks softer. Generating at 1668x2420 avoids both.
How do I make a 1668x2420 wallpaper?
Open the PattrnLab generator at 1668x2420, pick a pattern and palette, and download the PNG. It is rendered in your browser at exactly that size, so there is nothing to resize afterwards.
